Welcome Friends!

Ruby Pottery began with a simple love for slow, handmade things. What started as a quiet moment at the wheel turned into something bigger – a space where people could feel connected, grounded, and seen through clay.

Based in Mossel Bay, a coastal town that’s shaped the way we work and live. Life here moves at its own pace. The sea is always close, and the light seems to hang around a little longer. That rhythm filters into everything we make.

My Favorite Quote!

“To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”

how I got Here

Why I Love What I Do

Pottery wasn’t part of some big plan. It found me slowly, in a season of life where I was craving stillness, something to anchor me in the present.

The first time I sat down with my hands in clay, phone off, world quiet, something shifted. There was a softness in the process, a sense of being fully there. No rush. No pressure. Just breath, rhythm, and earth. For the first time in a long time, I felt grounded.

Clay has this way of holding space for you. It doesn’t demand perfection. It asks you to slow down, pay attention, and stay with the moment, even when it’s a little messy. That rhythm became part of my daily life, and without realising it, pottery became the thing that steadied me.

What started as a quiet practice turned into something I wanted to share.

And that is how Ruby Pottery was born, from a place of stillness, slowness, and a deep love for making with intention.

Every piece I create is personal. No big machines. No rushing the process. Just me, my hands, and clay, shaped with care and purpose.

Whether it’s a cup for your morning ritual, a bowl that cradles your comfort food, or a piece you gift to someone you love, my hope is that it brings a sense of calm into your day, the way it continues to bring calm into mine.

Ruby Pottery is my way of offering a little pause, a little presence, and a gentle reminder that beauty often lives in the slow and quiet things.

Thanks for being here.
