Okay so… I suppose this is my official “Hey, I’m still here, just buried under cardboard and life admin” post 😂

I’ve been super quiet this year, but life has honestly felt like one long pottery firing… except I’m the clay, slightly overworked, mildly panicking, and hoping I don’t crack under pressure 😂

I sold my pottery studio because we are moving :) BUT in the sweetest twist, it was bought by a lovely family who loves clay just as much as I do @just_bepottery 🤍 It honestly felt less like goodbye and more like sending it off to a really good home where it will be very loved.

Pottery has taught me so much over the years… mostly patience. You cannot rush clay. If you do, it WILL humble you.

Rush drying? Crack.
Rush trimming? Drama.
Rush firing? Emotional damage at 900°C 😂

It also taught me that perfection is overrated. The wonky mugs, glaze surprises and slightly chaotic fingerprints are often the pieces people love most. Life is kind of the same… the imperfect bits are usually the most interesting ones.

And sometimes you make something and think “nope” 😂 straight into reclaim it goes. Very humbling. Very healing.

We’re also moving 📦 and our house currently looks like a cardboard explosion mixed with a chaotic museum of “why do we own this?” I’ve found about 43 random cables and zero clue what they belong to… send help 😂

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of my Ruby journey 🤍 Every workshop, order, chat and muddy fingerprint meant more than you know.

Will pottery return one day? Probably 😂 Clay people don’t really retire… we just take long breaks and call it “life chapters.”

As 2025 comes to an end, I’m sitting with a heart

As 2025 comes to an end, I’m sitting with a heart full of thanks.

Ruby Pottery has been carried this year by so many gentle hands, every piece purchased, every commission trusted to me, every PR mention, every like, comment, share and quiet interaction. None of it went unnoticed.

You didn’t just support a small business, you supported a dream that’s made with clay, patience and a lot of heart. Even the smallest show of support helped keep Ruby Pottery alive and growing.

Thank you for believing in what I create, for showing up in ways seen and unseen, and for walking this journey with me. I step into the next year deeply grateful and with so much excitement and hope for what 2026 will bring. 🤍
